Small business grant program - now open.

The Queensland Government has one of my favourite programs open again. This round sees up to $5K paid to small business owners, matched dollar for dollar.

The Small Business Entrepreneur Grants Program can assist new small businesses to access professional advice and support in the critical early stages of establishing a business.

Matched funding of up to $5,000 (excluding GST) may be provided to eligible businesses to engage a consultant, advisor or business coach for up to 3 months to help establish or develop the business. 

Of course there are terms, conditions and eligibility criteria to consider.

I have had previous clients access this program to get me in to provide:

• mentoring/coaching
• business and strategic planning
• marketing strategy development (branding strategies and social media/digital strategies).

To be eligible, the business must:

• have a business name registered within the last 4 years
• have fewer than 20 employees at the time of applying for the grant
• have an ABN
• have Queensland headquarters
