My 6 yr old daughter has left us all a wonderful message! I have a roll of paper on the wall in my office that I use quite often for planning, big ideas and inspirational quotes. Charley has decided that she would add something for us today. Although she intends for this to be a message to all the kids in our house during school holidays, it has reminded me of a similar and meaningful message. When we are quiet (I know - slightly different spelling to a 6yr old), we can listen.
We can listen to our customers and what they really want. In business, when working on being unique, standing out from the crowd and our point of differentiation, we can sometimes forget how to simply stop, be quiet and listen to our customers. What are they saying? And even more importantly, what aren't they saying? By following the advice from my 6yr old daughter, let's all take some time this week to stop, be quiet and listen. Who knows what we will discover!
