 I picked up a copy of Michelle Obama's book 'Becoming' at an airport, where I buy most books. Normally I can devour a book on the flight between Brisbane and Townsville, but not this time.
 With most of 2018 in the rearview mirror, it has been a great time to reflect on the year that has been.

 The Small Business Digital Grants Program is open!
This is a wonderful opportunity for eligible small business owners to apply for a digital grant of up to $10K in matched funding. In the last round, I delivered professional websites and digital coaching as part of the grant funding.  Having a professionally prepared marketing plan can help you to stop wasting money on promotions that don't work and start getting pro-active about where you really want to be in the market.
 Whether this is your first tender or you're a seasoned tender writer, there are a few key tools that ensure your bid is the best it can be. In my experience, companies who present a consist impression across their tender, website and capability statement are awarded more contracts than those who don't.
 I work every day with owners of small businesses. I am constantly inspired by their tenacity, agility and skill. The Office of Small Business in Queensland defines a small business as a business employing less that 20 employees. Together, there are 426,000 of us small businesses.
