Google has recently changed the way it does business. More specifically - the way it chooses who goes first when displaying search results. The good news is there are a few quick and easy ways to ensure google still shares the love with you: 1. Make your website responsive. More and more people are viewing web content on mobile devices (think smartphones and tablets). Google knows this and will prioritise these sites over sites that do not respond. 2. Remove large files.
Large files take a long time to load. This can be frustrating for viewers and won't work in your favour. 3. Pack in the content. Google will prioritise sites with rich content. 'Crawlers' look for key words, data, files and copy to decide if your site should be included in someone's search results. If you want to be found when people are looking for a particular topic, make sure you have some great content on your website about this topic. Not just an item for sale. I'm talking about a great article, a supporting image, a video file or the like. Review your website and use these quick tips to ensure google is sharing the love with you. Of course, there is more to learn, but this is a great start!
